Returning Champion and 2005 King of the Hill ready for an epic race to the top on the fully paved course.
Mission Viejo, CA, May 7, 2013—–The 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will feature an thrilling return to the mountain by former Pikes Peak Champion rider Micky Dymond on a Ducati Multistrada riding for the Falkner Livingston Racing team.
The 1205 Pro Class motorcycle racers will face off June 30, 2013 with Dymond selecting a Ducati Multistrada, motorcycle of choice for winning riders in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The project will be managed by Falkner Livingston Racing who is partnered with Akrapovic America LLC for this project.
In 2005, 3 time AMA champion Micky Dymond took on the famed Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for the first time with remarkable results – the rookie rider won the motorcycle class outright, becoming only the second rider to become ‘King of the Hill’ as a newcomer to the race. In returning this year, Dymond will have the advantage of past experience as a three times Pikes Peak competitor as well as the benefit of a fully paved course.
MICKY DYMOND: “I feel that a fully paved course will suit me very well on the Ducati Multistrada 1200. The bike is a whole lot of motorcycle for sure but it’s amazing how fast it is and how well it handles. I really love this event and feel so lucky to be a part of this team, on this great bike. It is just So Awesome”.
Micky will be on hand in the Akrapovic booth to chat with race fans during “Fan Fest” in downtown Colorado Springs, scheduled for Friday evening, June 28th.
